Alien beach party!

Jack enjoys his time on the TARDIS, he really does. And it's great fun to see just where she's going to take them next. But every now and then, it's nice to just be able to relax without worrying about Rose being drowned by shark people, and he knows a certain someone who could do with getting out and about more often.

He's got everything all set up on a massive stretch of beach that seems to go on for miles and miles, with no one else really around. He's wearing swimming trunks (since the Doctor has successfully instilled in him the habit of not going naked just because he can), and has a pair of beach towels laid out, with a big brightly colored beach umbrella staked in the sand between them.

Victor, for his part, is smeared with so much sunscreen. He'd make a vampire look like a beach bum, he's so pale, and with all those scars... it's hard, not to be self-conscious, but he's learned in his time in the Nexus that Jacks tend not to judge, and certainly won't think he's ugly because of them.

So he's without a shirt. Arms crossed over his chest a little shyly, curled in the shade a bit, looking out into the water with this big happy grin on his face. His swim trunks are rainbow tie-die. Because he's subtle as heck.

If Jack is surprised that Victor has gone shirtless despite it all, he doesn't show it. Nor does he blink an eyelash at any changes between now and the last time he saw him. "The TARDIS doesn't take us to nearly enough beaches."

"I haven't been to a beach in the daytime since... shoot, I dunno when. It's beautiful." He stretches his legs out, tilting his head back and swallowing, muscles in his throat shifting under skin and making shadows. Just enjoying the place.

"I was here once before, not long after I resigned from the Time Agency," Jack says, fully in the sun, stretched out on his front and propped up on his elbows.

"Are there any dangers I should be aware of?" Usually a question he would ask before zipping off to a planet, but he trusts Jack's judgement. For the most part. Unless it has to do with doing more than kissy-facing.

"Well, if you go out too deep there might be sea monsters," Jack admits. "But they don't tend to come close to shore, and according to my readings, this should be in the climate zone they don't like much."

"You're stunning, Jack, thank you," he says, burying his feet in the sand, then stretching his bony self back again, all ribcage and hipbones.

"What's fun without a little danger?" he grins back at him, and flicks a few grains of sand off his wristcomp.

"Sometimes refreshing, I've found, but I'm an old fuddy duddy."

[fractured_agent]

Jack cocks his head to the side a bit, unfamiliar with that terminology. "What's a fuddy duddy?"

"Basically, a boring old man," he says, stretching his arms above his head, reaching up, then dropping his arms again with a slow breath out.

"I didn't think you were that old." Jack rolls to one side, propping himself up on his elbow, his head resting against his knuckles.

"Turnin' twenty-four this next month, but I've got all these old man walkin' problems." He curls onto his side, too, to match.

[fractured_agent]

"Well you're not boring, so you can't be any kind of fuddy."

[victormakesart]

"You're just a whole bundle of cute today, aren't'cha," he says, grinning toothily at him.

[fractured_agent]

Jack pretends to preen a bit. He's sexy and he knows it. "It comes naturally."

[victormakesart]

"I'm sure. You fifty-first century boys, you've perfected charm and looks."

[fractured_agent]

"I can't take all the credit. I've had extensive genetic engineering."

[victormakesart]

"Heaven bless science." He stretches his legs once more (pop, pop), and rises with a little bit of difficulty, pushing his foot in a semi-circle through the sand.

[fractured_agent]

"What're you up to?" Jack asks curiously.

[victormakesart]

"Just playing," he says, turning in a careful circle. "Wanna dance?"

[fractured_agent]

"Sure." Jack is not at all bothered by the lack of suitable music, or any music at all. And he hops up easily, ignoring the sand stuck to his elbow. "Do you know the Denuvian waltz?"

[victormakesart]

"I don't. Can you teach me?" A wide, earnest smile, and he's starting to understand why people like to go outside. It helps that it's not his planet.

[fractured_agent]

"Sure I can! Just remember, it's made for folks with five tentacles for locomotion, so if you feel wobbly or fall over, everyone does."

[victormakesart]

"I'll just have to do the best I can with four limbs and questionable balance."
