Captain Jack and Captain Jack [for slayers_desire]

It's been a few months since the team got their first lessons in psychic shielding, and once again, the Hub is open to April's expertise. Though he knows they're having guests, Jack doesn't push anyone to clean up the clutter so it looks better. The Hub is still a work space, and a chaotically changing one at that. They're all used to it by now, and Jack knows April won't mind.

Ianto is manning the tourist information office upstairs, as usual, and he knows that April is coming.

"Maybe. But that's up to you. I wouldn't tell them about the Nexus though."

[slayers_desire]

"No. Definitely not. That is a little too complicated."

[fractured_agent]

Jack also says nothing about telling his team about his own unique talent. Or his history. "Either way, without Tosh and Owen here, you might want to wait for the whole team to be here at once," he guesses. "Unless you want to tell them one on one."

[slayers_desire]

"It might easier to do it all at once."

"Besides, I think I had enough emotional drama today." She smiles, sipping from the mug.

[fractured_agent]

"So've I." His thoughts turn back towards the Captain. There are still regrets, but he's more at peace with it now.

[slayers_desire]

"I am glad you got to meet Captain Harkness in person. I know tonight was difficult... but you truly live up to the kind of man he was. Brave. Loyal. Kind."

[fractured_agent]

Jack lets out a slightly shaky breath. "You think so?"

[slayers_desire]

"Of course I do."

[fractured_agent]

"I wish I could've told him he would be remembered." Jack has already decided to never forget Captain Jack Harkness, no matter how long he lives.

[slayers_desire]

"Always. By all three of us."

[fractured_agent]

"Well... I hope to keep his name alive. It's a good name." Even if it isn't really his, he hopes it's the right choice to keep using it.

[slayers_desire]

"A very good name. He would be proud of you, Jack."

[fractured_agent]

Jack smiles a little bit, and raises his glass. "To Captain Jack," he offers in toast.

[slayers_desire]

"To Captain Jack!" She raised her mug in the toast.

[fractured_agent]

Jack takes a drink of his brandy. He's still not completely at peace with his relationship to the late Captain, but it still feels like a weight taken off his shoulders.

"I'm glad we had you along."

[slayers_desire]

"I am glad I was here. It doesn't seem like you will have an easy time ahead of you... but you have a good team."

[fractured_agent]

"Can't say I'm too happy with Owen right now though. Hopefully whatever's coming is something we can handle."

[slayers_desire]

"He is mad at you, too." April gently points out.

[fractured_agent]

"He might be mad at me, but I'm still in charge, regardless of if I'm here or not. He disobeyed Torchwood protocol and he may have endangered the planet." Jack understands that Owen has his own personal issues to work out, but he shouldn't be letting them interfere with his job.

[slayers_desire]

"I think that he was manipulated... but his end decision was still his own." She has no soft feelings for Owen. Mostly because he has been so rude to her.

[fractured_agent]

"He needs a wakeup call," Jack agrees. "I hate that the planet might have to suffer for him to adjust his attitude, but that's the situation we're in now."

[slayers_desire]

"He didn't take up my offer to slap him around," she chuckled.

[fractured_agent]

"You know, when I first went to recruit him he punched me in the face," Jack says with a chuckle. "He's never been the kindest or most tactful of men."

[slayers_desire]

"Strange as it sounds, a big part of me wants to punch something after today..." April closes her eyes.

[fractured_agent]

"That's not so strange." Jack doesn't quite feel like getting into a fight right now himself, but anyone having to deal with Owen has his sympathy.
