[OOC] 30 Days of Character Development - Day 27
Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.
Nickelback - Burn It To The Ground: This is basically his entire relationship with John Hart, particularly whenever they got off-duty at the Time Agency. The two of them got in numerous bar brawls and were ejected from bars across the galaxies.
Lacuna Coil - When a Dead Man Walks: This is Jack's time at Torchwood, after he's become immortal and has been forced to work for them, always looking to the future for the Doctor's return in the hopes that he'll be able to fix Jack and allow him to die.
Do they believe that a person can redeem themselves from mistakes of the past? Yes, and fortunately so, because he made a dreadful mistake once that nearly wiped out humanity. He's not sure if his immortality is somehow a punishment for that or not, but he's working for the good of humankind regardless.
What scares them? Faeries, losing people, abandonment.
How do they feel about death? Have they been significantly affected by it? Jack has been affected by death more than most people, both through his own deaths and those around him. He's lost nearly everyone he ever loved, and is destined to continue to do so over millions of years. Jack hates losing people to death, but at the same time he craves it for himself, wishing that he could die and stay dead instead of being cursed to live forever.
