Happiest memory was answered on Day 6 for the first meme. His worst memory is from the war, when he and his first lover were captured across enemy lines. James was tortured to death in front of him, and they let him go as a warning. The psychic trauma was severe enough that he was given an honorable discharge from the military, and left him open to recruitment by the Time Agency.
